For posting properties to social media accounts you need to login to the ExpertWeb application. We will provide you with a login. If you don't have this please get in touch.

Currently only Facebook and Instagram are supported. If you wish to connect to an Instagram account you are also required to connect to a Facebook page as this is required by Facebook.

Facebook

To connect to Facebook so we can post your properties automatically:

1. Go to Dashboard > Website > Social Media.
2. Click the "Authenticate with Facebook" button:

This will take you to Facebook to login and select your Facebook business page.

If you have access to any Facebook groups it might ask you to select a Facebook group as well however this is not required and you can skip this selection. If you do select any groups they will not be used.

3. Once done you will be returned to ExpertWeb.

Instagram

Connecting to Instagram is very similar to connecting to Facebook because Instagram is run by Facebook.

Before connecting to your Instagram account you first need to:

1. Make sure your Instagram account is a "Business" account:

2. That it is connected to your Facebook Business page:

• Connecting your Instagram account and a Facebook Page that you manage
• Add or remove your accounts from an Accounts Centre

Once these steps have been completed you can authenticate ExpertWeb with your Instagram account:

1. In ExpertWeb go to Dashboard > Website > Social Media.
2. Click the "Authenticate with Instagram" button:

This will take you to Facebook to login with your Facebook account and select your Facebook business page and then your connected Instagram business account.

If you have access to any Facebook groups it might ask you to select a Facebook group as well however this is not required and you can skip this selection. If you do select any groups they will not be used.

If you have already connected your Facebook page it will be pre-selected.

3. Once done you will be returned to ExpertWeb.

Enable Automatic Property Posting

You can now enable automatic posting of properties to Facebook and/or Instagram.

1. Scroll down and check the "Post new properties to all authenticated social media accounts" checkbox. Then click the save button at the bottom of the page.

4. You can also set the Facebook post text format:

Be aware that Instagram posts cannot have tappable links. You can put a link in the text but users will not be able to tap on it to open the page. You are best having your website homepage in your Instagram bio and referencing that link. eg: "Check out this new property on our site (link in bio)."

6. Make sure to click the save button after making these changes.
